Come out and play badminton at the Canada Games Centre, a large and accessible facility with plenty of parking space for players!

This sport is a great way to improve agility and coordination while having fun and meeting new people in a relaxed environment.

Our Indoor Badminton program offers a two-hour drop-in style of play on three courts. There will be an opportunity to play doubles games against those of similar skill level as well as mixing in with other players throughout your session.

COVID-19 Protocol & Safe Return


We are committed to providing the highest levels of safety for our community.  

To ensure player and staff safety, we have implemented mandatory 'Safe Return to Play Protocol & Guidelines' for all Club Activities.  In order to play with the Halifax Sport & Social Club and stay in good standing, the following guidelines MUST be followed.  A zero-tolerance policy is in place for those who challenge these decisions.   

To ensure a successful season, please remember to practice safe physical distancing and a positive attitude!

All players are required to read, understand, and adhere to all COVID-19 Guidelines.

Start / End Dates

Friday: Starts Friday, May 21 and ends on Friday, September 17.

League start and end dates are subject to change.  HSSC endeavors to provide registered players and individuals with as much notice as possible should changes occur.

There are a maximum of 20 player spots for this program.


Mandatory Requirements



1) All players must sign the waiver.


2) Weekly wellness checks “COVID-19 Self Screening” must be completed by all players prior to participation.

3) Players must maintain physical distancing of 2-meters before and after all activities.  This includes arriving on-site, resting/sitting on the sidelines, and departing the game.

4) No Spectators are allowed under any circumstance (this includes kids, family, etc.)



COVID-19 EQUIPMENT MODIFICATIONS  - Teams are required to bring their own badminton racquet to every game.  Teams are required to wash/sanitize the shuttles before the game and after the game.  Do not share your racquet with other players.

Sanitization options will be available on-site for racquets and shuttles.
