Stand Up Paddle (SUP) - Intro + Explore

Get your feet wet with the world's fastest growing water sport - Stand Up Paddling (SUP)!

This class is ideal for those interested in experiencing more with this super fun sport. Through the 4-week session we cover how to balance and paddle efficiently, learn different types of strokes and freestyle moves all on calm sheltered waters.  We have partnered with SUP Yoga Halifax to bring you this unique program.

The coast of Nova Scotia has beautiful scenery which you will be able to explore while on the water (not to mention taking advantage of some fantastic selfie opportunities)!


All participants must adhere to physical distancing procedures and safety protocols when on site. 

Note: Participants are encouraged to bring their own Personal Floating Device (life jacket).

COVID-19 Protocol & Safe Return

We are committed to providing the highest levels of safety for our community. 

To ensure the protection of all members and staff, we have implemented Safe Return to Play Guidelines for all Club Activities, modifications for each sport/activity as well as enhanced facility protocols.

You are responsible to read, understand and adhere to the following:

Start/End Dates

Monday: Starts Monday, July 5 and ends Monday, July 26.

Starts Wednesday, July 7 and ends Wednesday, July 28.

# of Weeks

4 Weeks.

Class Times

6:30pm - 8:00pm. 

Please arrive 15 minutes early to the class. 

The instructor will provide information in the event of inclement weather. 

Price $145.00 + HST.

There will be a maximum of 6 participants to 1 instructor.  


All equipment is provided (including life jackets but participants are encouraged to bring their own). Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing that can get wet.

About Your Instructor!

Your amazing SUP instructor is Grace Stolarz.  She is the Owner and Founder of SUP Yoga Halifax.

A bit about Grace:  Grace is an avid yogi, paddler and lover of life, Grace's goal is to bring her love of yoga and Stand Up Paddleboarding back to the community she grew up in. She has been teaching yoga and Stand Up Paddleboarding in Halifax for the last 7 years. Grace is a registered 200-hr yoga instructor, 30 hr SUP yoga instructor, an advanced SUP instructor with Paddle Canada and has her level 1 WPA (World Paddle Association) certification. She is also a brand ambassador for Bluwave SUP.
