Tennis Instructional Program


Gareth Dowdell


Gareth moved into coaching permanently in 2007 after a successful junior career which saw him represent New Zealand at the World Youth Cup. He accepted a full scholarship at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was ranked in the top 25 of both singles and doubles in NCAA Division 2.

Gareth has experience at all levels of coaching in New Zealand, the United States, and Canada. It is his desire to continue to grow the game of tennis in Nova Scotia and produce greater numbers of high performance juniors who can compete at a national and international level.



Stefan Hall


During his junior tennis career, Stefan Hall was ranked as high as #1 in his age category in Atlantic Canada and represented Prince Edward Island at Canada Games. After graduating from high school, he accepted a scholarship to play NCAA Division II tennis for Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.

His goals involve growing depth, talent, and teamwork in the junior development and high performance programs at the DNTC.

Danny Godfrey & Cindy Davis


Instructors Danny Godfrey and Cindy Davis have been performing and teaching Salsa, Bachata, Rueda de Casino, and several other dances for more than 15 years.

Their training is extensive, having studied in Toronto, Montreal, Cuba, Puerto Rico, New York and beyond.
