HST and Impact to Spring/Summer 2010 (Sprummer) Season Fees

As you may be aware, HSSC's heaquarters are based in Ottawa, ON. For previous seasons, HSSC has only charged GST in addition to league fees as a result. However, in 2010 the Ontario government will be introducing a 13% harmonized sales tax (HST). This program will be administered by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Sport and Social Club members will see an increase in fees due to this harmonized sales tax, for payments received after April 30th.
Registration for the Spring/Summer 2010 (Sprummer) season looks like this:
- GST only will be applied to payments received by the registration deadline Friday, April 30, 2010.
- Payments received after Saturday May 1, 2010 will be subject to a pro-rated HST tax for the last 8 weeks of the Spring/Summer 2010 (Sprummer) season.
